Today, February 15, the Illinois EPA acted to at least temporarily shut down Sterigenics. On behalf of the community, we want to thank Governor Pritzker, Attorney General Raoul, the IL EPA, staff at the Governor's office, and the Village of Willowbrook for keeping their promises and working to stop the poisoning of our community.
A huge thank you to the members of this community who took the time to call, tweet, and write politicians and educate them on this health crisis. Our work is not done yet. Our next push is meaningful legislation that will eliminate air emissions of ethylene oxide If you are interested in joining our efforts on Tuesday, there are still a few spots left.
